Usage::Silicon
carbide metallurgical 90% is used in
metallurgy during melting in electric furnaces
like a substitution of ferosilicium because of
reaching a better quality of alloys and lower
finance / economic demand factor. Further in a
production of foundry briquettes and like a basic
material for production of grains for refractory
products.
Physico-chemical
properties: Silicon
carbide is produced by reduction of silicon
monoxide by carbon, which proceed at temperature
2400°C in electric resistance furnace. Burnt out
material is further broken to pieces and crushed
to the required
grains sizes.

Usage: Using of SiC briquettes
in foundries brings desoxidation and cleaning of
a liquid alloy, to lenghten modification effect
in alloy and to reduce a danger of appearance
mistakes in alloy ( bubbles ). This using brings
also great economical effects through a
possibility of increasing steel part toward raw
material consumption.

Usage: Silicon
carbide is used mainly in production of abrasive
tools and instruments . There are also another
ways how to use it , such as blasting by dry and
wet method, production of refractory plates,
bricks, refractory cement and cramming mixtures.
It could be used also in electrotechnical
industry and in production of insulators and
lightenning-secure´s production. It is also a
good addition to a frame and another saws for
stone cutting , as well as an inoculant into
epoxide resin for to reduce getting worn.

Metallurgy
|
The division of metallurgy produces a wide
assortment of FeSi briquettesand SiC briquettes.
Besides the base range of 10 types we produce
briquettes to order according to a wish of our
customer. Production capacity of our plant is
about 2 000 tones per month. SiC and FeSi
briquettes are delivered on palettes, in big-bags
or in bulk. Further we sell Silicon Carbide in
different grit sizes and in different types of
packing.

Abrasives
|
The division of abrasive materials provides a
wide assortment of Corundum brown, Corundum white
and Silicon Carbide. We are delivering a wide
choice of grit sizes FEPA F and FEPA P. Further
our offer contents all grit sizes determined for
refractory and concreting purposes. We can
produce the unusual types of grit sizes to order.
The goods is delivered in big-bags, paper bags or
in bulk.

Company
KORUND
BENÁTKY, s.r.o. was established in 2003 as a
subsidiary company of KOLTEX COLOR, s.r.o. which took over the
plant CARBORUNDUM Electrite, a.s., plant II. - a production of
White Corundum and SiC. Production operation was taken over
including all technology and including long-time employees of
the plant. Production was taken over in full running so that a
continuity of deliveries was not disturbed.In the present time
sorting lines for White Corundum and SiC are operating. Sorting
lines are sat with ball mills, vibrational mills, hammer mills,
forming mills and many different sorting machines. Grain is
during a production several times magnetized. Production process
is permanently checked by production control and internal
laboratory. Every individual storage tank is equiped with exit
confirmation of laboratory.
